If you caught my Stylitics Style Profile then you know I completely buy into this: Knowing who you are and dressing for every opportunity is life affirming. Every Cheeky Monkey nail polish comes with a tag that has a different saying. The sayings don’t seem to have anything to do with the particular polish, but they are cute none the less.
Raunchy Bitch is a gorgeous polish. Cheeky Monkey describes it as a “dark metallic blue.” It is dark, but I wouldn’t call it metallic or blue. The color is more violet and it’s packed with beautiful shimmer. It really glows on the nail.
Application was wonderful. On the bottom of the bottle there are directions for application. It says to “shake gently; apply 2 coats.” That’s exactly what I did and had no issues.
Now regarding the name of this polish. All of Cheeky Monkey’s polishes have well, cheeky names though they aren’t all quite as R rated as Raunchy Bitch. I love the names. I think they’re fun. Each polish also has a story. The story for Raunchy Bitch is called “Bottle of Wine.” You can check it out in full here.
Another thing I want to touch on is the bottle because it’s completely unique. The bottle for each polish varies because the name of the polish is written in different fonts covering the entire bottle. Cheeky Monkey Cosmetics is printed on top of the rubber cap. There are pictures of the cap and bottle below the jump.
Cheeky Monkey polishes are a bit pricey at $15 but for the fun name and the superb quality I think it’s a fair price for a small cosmetics company. Also, their customer service is amazing. Check out Katie’s experience in her post on As If. Katie also did a post on One Nite Stand if you’re interested in seeing other Cheeky polishes.
Below the jump there are many more swatches as well as pictures of the bottle, cap, directions and the cute tag that comes on all Cheeky Monkey polishes.
If you’ve tried Cheeky Monkey polishes I’d love to hear about your experience! I’d also love to hear your thoughts on their polish names. I know some people may not love the “cheeky” names.
