Color Club Tangerine Scream

Unless you’ve been living under the proverbial fashion rock then you are well aware that the Pantone color of the year is Tangerine Tango. Tangerine is literally EVERYWHERE. It was my number 1 must have polish color for Summer 2012 and it’s still going strong!

Tangerine Scream is from Color Club’s Summer 2009 Electro Candy collection, but the collection is currently popping up at Rite Aids although on a Poptastic display (I know….confusing…moral of the story, this polish is currently available in stores!).

Anyway, onto the polish itself. Tangerine Scream a gorgeous polish that is rather complex. The base is a neon orange that has quite a bit of pink in it. But what makes this polish really interesting is the shimmer. The shimmer is a light green that is so unexpected! I was worried the shimmer wouldn’t translate to the nail but I’m happy to say I was wrong!

This polish is a neon, so it is a bit on the thin side. I used three coats in my swatches. And of course, being a neon, a shiny top coat is required!

Make sure to check out the swatches below the jump. You can really see the shimmer in the MACRO image!

  1. At least if CC re-released this shade now from them archives they did not re-name it. Hate when I pick up a shade and discover it’s the same as one I have just been handed a new name (Revlon did a ton this yr and OPI is famous for this esp when they do an ‘exclusive to’ collection – far too often those are re-promote shades with new names. This is a nice fall orange. I always have liked oranges (not crayon orange or Halloween orange) – always have worn them long before it was the Panatone shade this yr and everyone went goofy for hues of orange. Seems it went away a bit this summer but seeing lots of rusty oranges for fall now again.
