CQ Mystical

This is a polish I would have lived in about 4 years ago. I went through a phase where I literally only wore various shades of purple. Obviously, I still wear purple quite a bit, but wearing Mystical reminded me how much I love wearing purple polish!

Mystical is a red based purple with violet and red shimmer. The microglitter in this polish gives the polish a lovely glow but it’s not frosty.

The application of this polish is just average. The formula is a bit thin but it’s not runny. Three coats are definitely necessary with this polish to get a nice even color with no bald spots.

This polish surprised me. I figured it would be just another shimmery purple so it took me awhile to get around to wearing it. But one evening I was in a serious nail polish pinch. My boyfriend and I were going out to a bar to see a couple of friends who are in a band play. The dress I planned on wearing was very light pink with a lace overlay. To say the least, Wet n Wild Nerd Alert: Screech did not work for that outfit! I grabbed Mystical and did a last minute manicure. It was the perfect addition to my ensemble!

That turned out to be a long side story! Anyway, there are more swatches below the jump. If you’re interested in other polishes from the CQ brand check out Katie’s post on Golden Green. CQ polish can be found at Rite Aid or on the CQ Cosmetics website.
