Celeb Nails: Pink

Who else is addicted to Pink’s new song; Blow Me (One Last Kiss)!? I can’t turn it off. And not only is Pink (or P!nk?) about to release a new album, she just became a CoverGirl. Of course this called for a party in her honor and Pink showed up with a very interesting manicure. It was a twist on Chanel’s recent nail art that I absolutely loved (and so did alot of you!). You can see Pink’s manicure here.

To recreate Pink’s manicure I used SinfulColors Citrine as the base and then applied Maybelline Express Finish Black Onyx for the darker color. I used the same technique as I did for my recreation of the Chanel runway nail art. I just applied the darker color as if I was applying the polish to a smaller nail.

I do like that people are taking the Chanel look and using different color combinations. That being said….I don’t love this color combination. It looks a bit too Halloween for August. Come October it might be a fun manicure to wear, though.

What do you think of this manicure? Too Halloween or do you love it? Maybe I’m just not edgy enough to pull it off!

There are more swatches below the jump 🙂

  1. I love this! It will be really cool to do in the fall when darker colors are in and you just want a little pop of color!

  2. Very cool…and I am sooo not a black and orange gal…always looks like Halloween to me. I think I could even do this one and I fail horrible at most all nail art!

  3. These colors are too Halloween for me to do outside of October, but I like this mani idea. I might try it with another color combo.

  4. I really dislike orange and black as a combo (always…even at Halloween), but I want to try the border nail trend before its over! lol

  5. I like it with red and black, a la Louboutins. And I think hot pink and black would be cool, too.
