Sally Hansen Salon Effects Checker Out (+ giveaway!)

I’m officially addicted to Sally Hansen Salon Effects. They’re just so easy to use and they wear great. The first time I saw the LE Spring Collection I kind of wanted them all! The designs were so cute but I did resist for quite awhile. Then I saw them on clearance at Target and I had to get at least one!

Checker Out is what I imagine a green gingham table cloth would look like. It’s a checkered pattern with a dark green and kind of lighter green. I just love the pattern. It screams warm weather picnics and cook outs!

The application, wear and removal of Checker Out was more or less the same as the other Salon Effects designs. For tips and tricks on how to apply and remove these click here.

Below the jump there are a few more photos of this lovely manicure plus how to win a box for yourself!

We are giving 2 boxes of Checker Out away! If you’d like to win a box all you have to do is like the link to this post on The Daily Varnish Facebook page.

Now for the fine print! This giveaway is open to everyone but if you are under the age of 18 please as your parents for permission as you will have to provide us with your address if you win.

The giveaway ends Tuesday July 10th at noon eastern. I will notify the 2 winners via Facebook message. You will have 24 hours to respond before another winner is picked.

  1. I LOVE Sally Hansen Salon Effects. I was buying them so often that my boyfriend recently banned me from buying them for a while haha. I really would like to try this style though…thanks for another great product review, and a chance to win this giveaway!!

    • I’m bad about buying these too…I have a stock pile I haven’t even tried! I think my boyfriend is too scared to ban me from buying anything polish related, though πŸ™‚

  2. This one is very preppie looking.

  3. If I win…you will never reach me (and others too I am sure) via facebook message…many folks put in fake/non attended email addresses attached to FB accounts – so IF they look at their FB messages direct via FB they MIGHT see the message. I do applaud you for NOT doing a whole biggie thing with the likes of Rafflecopter what I don’t think works on the blog host you use. I am really against how so many bloggers set up their contests that discriminate big time against folks who do not have a blog by giving a ton of points for blogging about the give away and then adding them to their blog roll – etc…It’s soooo unfair and keeps contest winners always between other bloggers. Not everyone has a blog – or like me – I have one but it’s totally not appropriate for me to put anything about polish into it – it’s a site that is devoted to a serious bone disease that is chronic.

  4. I did both! πŸ™‚ This is a fun giveaway! I love the colors, and I have always wanted to try these out. Are they easy to apply?

  5. Lord those are cute, I got a set like that for when I had a vacation and I was amazed with how long they lasted and how many compliments I got. The green plain is just adorable.

  6. I have these in my Salon Effects stockpile waiting to be used! Seeing them on inspires me, they’re awfully cute. Maybe that will be my next manicure!

  7. I tried these and when I peeled them off after about a week they ruined my nail beds, they peeled a layer off my nails, what a mess!

    • Why did you peel them off? They come off with polish remover. I’ve never had any issues with these causing damage to my nails!
