Sally Girl Orange

This is another polish from my Sally Beauty haul last week. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a seasonal Sally Girl display before so when I spotted the Stop & Smell the colors display I just couldn’t say no. The bottles are so cute and the polishes are scented and the price is less than a buck a bottle AND they were buy 2 get 1 free. I just don’t have to will power to walk away from that!

Orange, is well, exactly what you would expect. An orange creme. I was pleasantly surprised by the application. My previous experience with Sally Girl polish is rather limited. One was glow in the dark, and the other was a neon. So I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Orange went on wonderfully in 2 coats, though I did use 3.

As for this polish being scented….it does smell like an orange creamsicle after the polish is applied and dries. At first the scent is rather strong and noticeable. I did have my entire family smell my nails yesterday at Easter dinner. They though I was crazy! But, after the first 12 hours or so the scent fades and is almost entirely gone after a day. I have tried 2 other scented polishes, one from Revlon, the other from Avon, and the scent lasted about the same length of time.

Oh, and in case you were curious, you can use a top coat with scented polishes.

It’s been about a year since I  bought my last Sally Girl polish. When I purchased Surfs Up the name of the polish was nowhere to be found on the bottle. Well, it seems the people who make Sally Girl finally saw the light because the name is now printed on the bottle! This pleases my slightly OCD self greatly.

I’m really looking forward to try Coconut from this same collection 🙂
