ZOYA – Neeka

It’s no secret that I haven’t been really impressed by most of the Fall 2011 collections – but ZOYA’s Smoke & Mirrors did have a few that caught my eye. The ZOYA website describes Neeka as “a greyed amethyst with subtle red duochrome shimmer and bright gold glitter accents.” I agree completely but the “subtle red duochrome shimmer” is – indeed – very subtle.

I really like this polish! On the nail it’s darker than in the bottle – and I had some trouble photographing it – but the top picture is quite color accurate – you can see the difference between the nail and the bottle. The bottom picture was taken in very strong direct sunlight and you can see how much gold glitter is packed into Neeka along with that subtle red shimmer- It’s fabulous!

I’m tired of talking about application – I feel like I always say the same thing…. But – the formula applied nicely. I used three coats but two coats would easily suffice.

It’s a great fall polish. I plan on picking up a few more from the Mirrors side of the Collection – maybe Marina and Jem. I got this at Ulta – which had a decent sized full display-  for $8.00.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

  1. This is my favourite from Mirrors collection, I think I’ll order it soon (the picure in direct sunlight is great)!

  2. Thank you! It’s really really pretty – and unique 🙂 I really do think I’ll grab a few more from Mirrors….

  3. I think Zoya made the best of the fall collections I have seen. I bought all of Mirrors and 4 of the smoke. I am surprised at some of the really ugly colors out there this fall, boring, then some that make no sense at all for fall when they are filled with brights.
