Nicole by OPI It’s Not Me, It’s Blue

I’ll admit Nicole by OPI is not a brand I generally pay attention to. In fact, until this polish I had never purchased a bottle of Nicole by OPI. It just so happens the other day I was shopping at Target and for some reason It’s Not Me, It’s Blue caught my eye. It’s part of Target’s new Nicole by OPI exclusives for Fall 2011.

The press release for these new Target exclusives describes this polish as a “pretty periwinkle” with shimmer. Well, there is definitely shimmer but I’m not getting the periwinkle. When I think periwinkle I think China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le. Anyways, It’s Not Me, It’s Blue is a blackened purple with multicolor shimmer. The color is gorgeous. I got so many compliments when I was wearing it! The formula was a bit on the thin side, but 3 coats gave me streak free, opaque color.

Color wise this is quite similar to Maybelline Purple Aluminum though Purple Aluminum lacks the multicolor shimmer that It’s Not Me, It’s Blue has.

I was quite impressed with my first Nicole by OPI experience which is good since I’m totally obsessed with the Kardashian’s and Nicole by OPI is coming out with a Kardashian collection around the holidays!

Make sure to check below the jump for a macro shot of the multicolored shimmer in It’s Not Me, It’s Blue 🙂
