Pixel Roman Gelato

A couple of weeks ago I was at Ulta browsing and happened to run into Pixel, a nail polish brand I had never seen before. The display was quite large; containing 72 different polishes. The bottles are mini bottles (.17oz) and retail for $1.99. I obviously had to try a polish so I basically picked out Roman Gelato (149) because of the name. I mean, who doesn’t love Italy and gelato!?

Roman Gelato is a bright magenta pink with subtle purple flashing microglitter. It reminds me a bit of Maybelline Fun in Fuchsia. Application was lovely. The formula is quite opaque but not thick or runny. I used my normal 3 coats, but 2 probably would have been fine.

Overall I’m impressed. I will definitely be picking up a few more of these next time I’m at Ulta.

There is a macro shot of Roman Gelato below the jump 🙂
