OPI Not Like the Movies

OPI Not Like the MoviesThis is probably my favorite polish from the OPI Katy Perry collection. Not Like the Movies is a duo chrome metallic polish that flashes purple, silver and green. Sounds familiar right? Sounds like wet N wild Gray’s Anatomy (or Deborah Lippmann Wicked Games). This is better (and looks fabulous under Black Shatter).

Along with being a duo chrome polish, this has silver microglitter. It really brightens up the polish. The formula is great; I used three coats and had nice, opaque coverage. Even though this polish has a metallic/foil finish, I had no problems with brush strokes.

Like I said, this is my favorite polish from the Katy Perry collection. While I really like The One That Got Away, it’s not incredibly unique, and Teenage Dream really just isn’t my thing (though Katie LOVES it, she can’t seem to take it off her nails!). I still haven’t tried Last Friday Night, but I’m not all that excited about it because SinfulColors Hottie looks like a 100% dupe (at least in the bottles).

That being said, it is similar to wet N wild Gray’s Anatomy that is significantly cheaper. They are not dupes. If anyone is interested in seeing a side by side comparison of the two, leave a comment and I’d be happy to do so.
