Finger Paints – Merry Mittens

I figured since Christmas is right around the corner it’s finally time to start showing off my holiday/winter themed nail polishes, eh?

Merry Mittens is from this year’s Finger Paints holiday collection: Winter Dreams Collection (2010).  I got this a few weeks ago at Sally’s when I picked up Private Collection, and Sparkle Top Coat (also from Winter Dreams).

Merry Mittens is a deep cherry red that sometimes leans slightly towards burgundy. It with the perfect amount of red & gold glitter. The glitter doesn’t over power the look but it makes this a unique addition to my ever growing collection of reds. I used three coats – but two carefully applied coats would suffice. This picture was taken outside – but with very little sun.

The application was okay – not great, not horrid – it was a little thick (similar to the application of  Autumn Moonlight from their fall collection).  Overall though- two thumbs up from me.
