wet n wild Midnight vs. wet n wild Wild Orchid

I know I promised to do a comparison post of these two polishes a gazillion years ago when I posted my original post on wet n wild Midnight, but better late than never, right?

In the picture to the right I have Midnight on my middle and pinky fingers and Wild Orchid on my pointer and ring fingers. So, is there any difference? Yes and no. For the most part these two polishes are exactly the same. The formula is the same, the color is the same, the glitter is the same. Wet n wild discontinued Wild Orchid so if you missed it, grab Midnight while you can (it’s from wet n wild’s New Year’s polish display).

The only tiny, tiny difference is Wild Orchid has more glitter (and a slightly better holographic effect).

  1. Have you seen the little cheapie Wet n Wild holiday polish set at Dollar General? It says “Wild Shine” on them, but they are different (crappier IMO) bottles. Most of the colors look analogous with current WNW polishes, but 2 of them I can’t name at all. And they aren’t marked, not even with numbers. One is a dark red-orange with golden shimmer/microglitter and the other, the reason I bought the set, is a bluish purple with red glitter. I think it’s a jelly, it’s very sheer. But I think it would be a fun holiday polish, especially around New Year’s.

    • No, I haven’t seen these. I don’t make it to Dollar General very often, but I may have to go check this out. I love WnW nail polishes, and those colors sound really pretty 🙂

  2. Great post, I’ll have to grab the newer one 🙂
