OPI Ogre the top Blue

OPI Ogre the top BlueI picked this up on clearance at BeautyBrands. It’s from OPI’s Shrek Forever After collection, which I was never overly impressed or excited about. The only polish I initially picked up from this collection was What’s With the Cattitude? and I honestly only got that polish for the name.

Ogre the top Blue is a slightly lighter than cobalt blue creme. This polish gave my camera all kinds of issues. It is probably 2 shades darker than it appears in the outdoor picture (the indoor picture is more color accurate). It’s a really pretty color, and I surprisingly don’t have any dupes in my collection. Suzi Says Feng Shui and LA Colors Static Electricity are dustier and Just Groovy has a bit more white in it.

Application was good, which surprised me since I had all kinds of application issues with What’s with the Cattitude?. I used three coats, but two was actually probably enough (I don’t know when I became a habitual three coater). I have no complaints about the wear it was up to the usual OPI standards.

I’m glad I ended up getting this polish. I don’t think it’s anything extremely special or unique, but I (obviously) love my blue cremes and this is a nice addition to my collection.

The Shrek collection is still available at both Ulta’s near me and BeautyBrands had it on clearance. So this polish should not be difficult to find.

  1. I love this colour! I’ve got it but haven’t gotten around to trying it yet. I also really liked Funky Dunkey from the Shrek range too. 🙂
